These are images I did based on the alien characters in my project.
Below is a photoshop drawing of a wasp-like character. The aliens in the story are more of a swarm based race so I have given them very insectoid qualities. I think I should try and make them thinner next time, as the armor frame looks too large for the wings. The colours work well though.
This is a drawing I did of the Lion being overwhelmed and attacked by the aliens. While I think the composition and action works well, I think the colours in the background feel a little out of place. I was trying to make the background look less plain.
While on the subject of fights, I also did a brief shot of the fight scene between the Lion and the Unicorn. This was more of a Photoshop experiment than anything else, as I was trying to experiment with different brushes. This is evident in the grass, as I tried using a textured brush to simulate the grass, which I think it did. I really like how dynamic the shot is as well, although the background could be a little less plain.
